As our Drone Pilot, you’ll be working on the Murramarang South Coast Walking Trail Assessment project. Here's what you need to know about the project...

The Murramarang South Coast Walk is a proposed 48-km multi-day walking trail currently developed in Murramarang National Park and Murramarang Aboriginal Area. As part of this development, some existing tracks will need to be upgraded or relocated for better environmental outcomes and accessibility. The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Services (NPWS) engaged Cardno to complete a geotechnical risk assessment of the area.

To have a look at the Murramarang South Coast Walk master plan click here and to see the walk area on a map follow this link.

As a Drone Pilot and GIS Analyst, you will contribute to the following aspects of the project:

  • Planning the drone flight route through the designated area and providing a brief risk analysis of potential walking trail locations
  • Completing all required safety checks and demonstrating that you are capable to (virtually) pilot the drone to meet the license standards
  • Assisting with imagery post-production

But before you get to that, you'll need to complete an important step of your training - industry induction, which is coming up next...
