Communications and Sustainability Cadet at Inland Rail

Inland Rail, a-once-in-a-generation rail infrastructure project, is the backbone of a modern network for a modern nation. 

In this work experience, you will be promoting responsible social and environmental culture across Inland Rail development projects. You will provide clear, engaging, evidence-based communication of sustainability topics and create a campaign initiative – from conceptualisation to marketing – for employees to take part in.

Your tasks will include:

  • Planning a sustainability initiative
  • Designing an organisation-wide campaign, including branding and communications strategy
  • Pitching an original, independent project to industry experts 

Note: mentors will select the most compelling Inland Rail campaigns designed in the course of this program and work with the student to implement them across Inland Rail to increase sustainability awareness within its community.

Interest in either environmental sciences, marketing, journalism, resource management, or policy making is a plus!
