❌ closeYou believe in your idea and know it’s a game-changer in the making. Now it’s time to get others excited about it too!
Combine your project design skills and creativity with communication skills to convince people that your idea is worth investing in. To do this, you’ll need to communicate in a way that people from all different disciplines can understand – not just those in your field. Succinct, plain english and having clear talking points is key 👌
To learn more about mastering communication, head on over to our Fundamentals of Communication microprogram. This skills booster only takes 40 minutes to complete, but will give you all the tools you need to elevate your communication skills.
Pro tip ⭐️ Practice in front of a friend or family member for feedback. Ask them to describe your idea back to you – if they’re able to do that, you’ve done a great job 🙌
Remember to establish your talking points first and if you do need to refer to a script, avoid sounding like you're reading a school essay. Try to keep your tone professional but engaging. Let your ideas shine by delivering them with confidence and conviction.
