If you always approach issues with the same perspective, you won’t get the full picture or find new solutions.

There was a curious social experiment in Germany where a local news website paired up people with opposite political views and asked them to have a real, civil conversation. They wanted people to see value in joining the same conversation, despite having opposite views, and it was a success.

Think about the example from before. As the boss deciding whether to allow employees to work from home or not, who else could you speak to?

Would you ask other employees about their experiences working at home?

Could you ask professional contacts for experiences in their workplaces?
