Cardno is currently seeking a Drone pilot intern to oversee the ground and flight operations of an unmanned aircraft system. As part of ground operations, you will perform safety checks, smart map your project plan, interpret flight maps, understand forecasts and report to NADOC for flight preparation. Your other duties involve reporting to stakeholders of your solution, making the right decisions to fly the drone at what time and where taking into account the weather, route and technical requirements needed for the project.

Drone Pilot Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee ground and flight operations
• Virtually pilot a drone simulation
• Perform pre-flight, in-flight, and post-flight safety checks
• Ensure compliance with all regulations
• Post production of data collection and report to stakeholders

Drone Pilot Requirements and Qualifications

• Year 10 - 12 High school student
• Hand-eye coordination
• Confident in ability to take in knowledge and provide advice
